Home Modifications Lake Macquarie/Newcastle Ltd trading as Hunter Home Modifications is a not for profit community based organisation that has been in operation since 1989.
Hunter Home Modifications provides timely, practical and high quality services that promote a client centered approach, choice, and lifestyle.
Our purpose is to make a difference to the lives of people we assist allowing them to remain living independently and safe in their own homes as long as they are able.
The central purpose and role of Home Modifications Lake Macquarie/Newcastle Ltd Trading as Hunter Home Modifications to provide Occupational Therapy, Home Modifications and Maintenance services to the frail aged, people with disabilities and their carers who are living at home.
How We Operate
Hunter Home Modifications is funded through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) which is a Federal Government program providing services for people with disabilities, the frail aged, and their carers. Hunter Home Modifications also offers a competitive full cost rate to those clients requiring our services but are not eligible for the Commonwealth Home Support Programme.
Hunter Home Modifications is governed by a Board of Management. Directors include clients, carers, interested community members and local professionals. Hunter Home Modifications operates five (5) days a week, Monday through to Friday, 8.00AM to 4.00PM.
We have over 30 years experience in prescription building and in that time we have assisted many elderly and people with disabilities in achieving a quality of lifestyle and level independence that they thought was beyond their reach.
